| الوصف: | The use of oral anticoagulant drugs has increased in recent years, leading to reports of possible adverse effects. Anticoagulant-related nephropathy (ARN) is a cause of acute kidney injury (AKI) associated with both older and newer anticoagulant agents. The underlying pathogenetic mechanism is not completely understood, but some common risk factors, such as pre-existing renal damage, have been identified. Renal biopsy can help recognize typical but nonspecific lesions. Here, we report the case of a patient with severe renal and systemic involvement while on apixaban therapy. |
