Catherine Hakim introduces the term of “erotic capital as a separate type of capital which presents advantages to the person and which is different from Pierre Bourdieu’s categorisation of capital and defines it with its six basic characteristics. Within this context, she especially presents a frame for a kind of capital which makes women more advantageous. Thus, this paper basically intends to make the term of “erotic capital” visible in Turkish social sciences literature and with that intention a research has been conducted. The research includes service works and employees and managers in these works. The data has been collected via face to face interviews and focus group interviews. It has been intended to present the reflection of the term in working life via the collected data. ; Catherine Hakim, kişiye sunduğu avantajlara işaret eden “erotik sermaye” kavramını, Bourdieu’nun sermaye türlerinden ayrı bir sermaye türü olarak ortaya koymakta ve bu kavramı altı temel özelliği ile tanımlamaktadır. Bu kapsamda Hakim, özellikle kadınların avantajlı oldukları bir sermaye biçiminin çerçevesini sunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada temel olarak “erotik sermaye” kavramının Türkçe sosyal bilim literatüründe görünmesi amaçlanmış ve bu amaçla bir araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma hizmet işlerini ve bu işlerde çalışan yöneticiler ile çalışanları kapsamaktadır. Veriler mülakat ve odak grup görüşmesi yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerle, kavramın çalışma hayatındaki karşılığı ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. |
