الوصف: Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) generates a release of growth factors that seems to be possible due to the three-dimensional organization of the fibrin network. But, unlike PRP, there is no evidence of its potential for serotonin secretion. The objective of this work was to study, in vitro, the serotonin release of 3 types of PRF preparation: A-PRF+ in its initial form (fibrin agglomerate clot), A-PRF+ in its membranous form (more regularly used in clinical application) and I-PRF corresponding to its injectable form. Material and Methods : The three types of PRF were prepared from five healthy donors. In order to study the potential of serotonin secretion and to validate our model, a structural study was performed by scanning electron microscopy and the release of growth factors was determined by ELISA. The determination of serotonin was then performed by a high-performance liquid chromatography method. Kinetics of VEGF and serotonin release were performed at 20 minutes, D1, D3, D7, D14.Results : The three-dimensional organization of A-PRF+ and I-PRF clots allowed the release of VEGF. A greater amount of VEGF was released by A-PRF+. All three types of preparation allowed serotonin release over time, as early as 20 minutes after the end of the preparation. The level of serotonin released at each time point and cumulatively was higher for I-PRF compared with A-PRF+ in clot or membrane. Conclusion : Serotonin secretion was demonstrated regardless of the type of preparation with interindividual differences. This study could justify an analgesic effect of PRFs. ; Le PRF « Platelet Rich Fibrin » engendre une libération de facteurs de croissance qui semble possible grâce à l’organisation tridimensionnelle du réseau de fibrine.
