الوصف: ** Please note that there is an updated version that can be found under https://zenodo.org/record/8134214. ** »XBPMMM – Expanded Playbook« accompanies the multiplayer game with virtual reality »XBPMMM – A Travelogue of Morphing Bodies«, with premiere at HAU – Hebbel am Ufer, at 19 January 2023. It was developed in collaboration between the artists Janne Kummer, Anton Krause, and Steph Holl-Trieu and the ERDF funded project XR_Unites at HTW Berlin. Through the publication of this book we tie up many loose ends: an artistic research project that Janne started over three years ago, research on embodiment in VR and a year-long interdisciplinary collaboration within the ERDF funded project XR_Unites at HTW Berlin, numerous discussions, playtests, iterations, reconstructions, and configurations of XBPMMM . This publication can be thought of as an expanded playbook, one that serves as a record to all these journeys and their junctions–an account that assembles all bodies of terminology, technical skill, scripts and research, which went into the code, dramaturgy and flesh of the game.
