| الوصف: | Arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM) substantially increased the uptake of cadmium and nickel in the AM host species Medicago sativa. The presence of the AM fungus in soil also tended to increase the heavy metal uptake of the non-host species Sesuvium portulacastrum, but the effect was less consistent and pronounced than in M. sativa. We hypothesize that AM fungal mycelium stimulated the absorption and translocation of both heavy metals in the non-host species. |
