| الوصف: | remote procedure call, multicast, distributed systems, object-oriented, C++ Multicast RPC enables one object to make a single remote procedure call which is in fact transpar-ently executed in many remote objects. This report describes a design and a prototype imple-mentation of a software architecture which is used for supporting multicast RPC in the Extended-C++ programming language [Seliger 90]. It also describes how this architecture is enhanced to ensure atomicity of a multicast RPC, i.e. either all of a collection of functional objects execute a called procedure or none of them do. Extended-C++ is a production programming language which is used for developing CareVue, a distributed clinical information system product. |
