الوصف: ( Reg Anesth Pain Med . 2015;40(5):545–552) Administering epidural, spinal, or combined epidural-spinal anesthesia can be challenging due to a variety of anatomical, technical, and pharmacological factors. As a difficult neuraxial block can result in complications, it is important that anesthesiologists be able to anticipate such an occurrence and take the necessary steps to resolve the situation. The purpose of this study was to determine how common difficult neuraxial blocks are and investigate the potential factors that might contribute to them. The investigators also sought to determine the efficacy of an accumulated risk score used to predict a difficult neuraxial block.
