Pneumococcal strains St 255/00, 3JYP2670, P490, P865 and P1153 were treated with serum from mice immunized with PspA1, PlD1, the fusion PspA1_PlD1 or adjuvant alone (control), NMS as a complement source and FITC conjugated anti-mouse C3. The percentage of FITC positive bacteria (representing C3 binding) is shown for each group. The error bars represent the standard deviation of the replicates from the mean percentage of FITC positive cells. Statistical analysis was performed using ANOVA with Dunnet’s posttest. *p≤0,05 in comparison with the control. |
