الوصف: | Simulation is a powerful educational tool that has increasingly gained prominence in veterinary medicine over the past twenty years. It offers numerous advantages, including reducing the use of live animals in training, allowing students to repeatedly practice techniques to refine their skills, all while alleviating the stress of working with real animals or clients. The aim of this work was to analyze Vetsims, the clinical skills lab at the National Veterinary School of Alfort, established in 2016. Since its inception, this facility has seen numerous improvements in organization, equipment, and infrastructure. After providing an objective overview of Vetsims' operations and its evolution, particularly since 2022, a survey was conducted among the students to collect their feedback on various aspects of the simulation room, such as the renewal of workshop sheets, the creation of explanatory videos, the addition of self-assessment questionnaires, and, most importantly, the online system for sorting workshops. The survey results indicated that students were only moderately satisfied with the existing sorting system and overwhelmingly favored an alternative. The proposed solution in this thesis is a database created using Moodle, encompassing all Vetsims workshops and allowing searches based on various criteria, including targeted species, medical field, semester requirements, difficulty, workshop number, and name. These criteria were selected based on student feedback from the survey. The database provides direct access to the workshop pages on the school's digital platform as well as to the associated explanatory videos. A follow-up survey was sent to students a few months after the database was implemented to assess its usability. This second survey revealed a high level of satisfaction among respondents and identified some areas for improvement, which were subsequently addressed. Moving forward, the continued integration of student feedback and technological advancements will be key to enhancing veterinary ... |
