Loreto (Lauck 1962), Cajamarca (Ribeiro et al. 2017), La Libertad (Lauck 1962), Lima (Lauck 1962; Blancas 1978; García-Ávila et al. 1996; Peralta-Argomeda & Huamantinco-Araujo 2014; Ribeiro et al. 2017), Callao (Ribeiro et al. 2017), unknown department (Kirkaldy & Torre-Bueno 1909). Notes. Existing records of this species from Borneo (Indonesia), Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Chile, and Argentina (Mayr 1863, 1871; Dufour 1863; Walker 1873; Berg 1879; Kirkaldy & Torre-Bueno 1909; Torre-Bueno 1915; Pennington 1921; De Carlo 1930; Hungerford 1944; Lauck 1962) are incorrect (Ribeiro et al. 2017). Specimens reported by Hungerford (1944) actually correspond to B. venezuelae Lauck, 1962 (Lauck 1962).
