The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the composition and structure of the information base ofpharmaceutical research on the problems of drug supply of the population, as a field of scientific, practical and educational knowledge. The experimental base of the study was the lists of references for dissertations on the problems of drug supply of the population for the period 2015-2022, including: 4 dissertations for the degree of candidate of pharmaceutical sciences and 4 doctoral dissertations. The indicated experimental base was formed by the method of random non-repetitive selection and amounted to about 32% of the total number of dissertations on this issue in the specified period. Statistical (grouping), structural, comparative and scientometric analyzes were used as the scientific and methodological apparatus of the study. The research methodology included three stages: 1) formation of an array of bibliographic references from selected reference lists; 2) grouping of bibliographic descriptions in accordance with classification features; 3) analysis of the grouping results from the standpoint of reliability and expediency of using information sources. The information base, prepared on the basis of the lists of references of selected dissertations on this topic, included 1910 literary sources. As a result, using the basic provisions of science of science, the dynamics of the composition and structure of the information base on the problems of drug supply has been studied. The possibility of assessing the quality of scientific research (reliability criterion) based on the structural analysis of its information base is shown. A structural model of the drug supply information base has been formed, which is a hierarchical system of types, classes and types of information sources.
