| الوصف: | The study of the characteristics of the growth and development of trees and stands of Scots pine on the border of the distribution of pine forest types in the conditions of mixed broad-leaf forests and broad-leaf forests has not been sufficiently researched to date. One of the most important dendrometric indicators for an individual tree is its volume, and for tree stands – stock per unit area. Increasing the accuracy of the calculation of these indicators is one of the decisive indicators for assessing the correctness of the implementation of economic measures. The object of the study is the peculiarities of the formation of breast height form factors of Scots pine trees in the conditions of fresh mixed broad-leaf forests on the border of the distribution of pine forest types in the Volhynian Upland. The subject of the study is the methods and means of analysis and modeling of the dependence of the breast height form factors of Scots pine trees of different categories of technical suitability on the diameter and height of the trunk in the tongues of fresh mixed broad-leaf forests on the border of the distribution of pine forest types of the Volhynian Upland. The purpose of the work is to establish the peculiarities of the breast height form factors of Scots pine trees in the stands on the border of the distribution of pine forest types in the Volhynian Upland. Trial plots were laid out in stands dominated by Scots pine and a small proportion of admixtures – pedunculate oak and silver birch. The age of the stands was in the range of 87-95 years, the relative stocking was 0.55-0.72, the total stock of wood in the plots was 267-357 m3·ha-1. Scots pine trees grew mainly in the I and Ia classes of bonitation, oak – mainly in the II-III, and birch – in the III. The trees were divided into categories of technical suitability.
