الوصف: Numerous investigations show academic stress in university students. But, they are cases at the upper secondary level in a post-COVID-19 pandemic scenario. Objective: to evaluate the frequency and level of academic stress in high school students. The study was cross-sectional, descriptive and comparative with a sample of 120 students from the afternoon shift of the Emiliano Zapata High School of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (Culiacán, Mexico). The Academic Stressors (ECEA) scale was taken. Some results show medium stress in the categories of methodological deficiencies, student overload, intervention in public, negative social climate and academic stress. A high level of stress in the categories of beliefs about academic performance, exams, lack of content value and participation difficulties. Women presented a higher degree of stress than men (p<0.05) in all categories except participation difficulties. There were no limitations to conduct the study. Precise data was needed in a given space and time, such as admission to face-to-face classes after the pandemic. It was concluded that educational institutions must provide comprehensive care and a favorable environment so that the student performs in the best possible way in the post-pandemic scenario, preventing academic stress from affecting their academic performance. ; Numerosas investigaciones muestran estrés académico en universitarios.
