Gli atti del nono congresso degli scienziati italiani, tenuto a Venezia nel 1847, non furono mai pubblicati. Molti dei documenti prodotti durante le sedute furono trattenute dal geologo Lodovico Pasini, che ricoprì la carica di segretario generale del congresso. Dopo gli eventi del 1848-49, Pasini fu costretto a lasciare Venezia per motivi politici e probabilmente portò con sé anche le carte. Attraverso ricerche d’archivio, questo saggio fa luce sulle vicende dei manoscritti dopo la conclusione del congresso e fino al 1872, data del loro approdo a Firenze, dove sono tuttora conservati presso l’archivio del Museo Galileo. Completa il lavoro un inventario ragionato dei verbali e dei documenti veneziani superstiti. ; The proceedings of the Ninth Congress of Italian Scientists, held in Venice in 1847, were never published. Many of the documents produced during the sessions were retained by the geologist Lodovico Pasini, who served as General Secretary of the Congress. Following the events of 1848-49, Pasini was forced to leave Venice for political reasons and probably took the papers with him. Through archival research, this essay reveals what happened to the manuscripts after the Congress. In 1872, they were taken to Florence, where they are still held in the Museo Galileo archives. The article is completed by an annotated inventory of the surviving Venetian proceedings and other documents. |
