A Simple and routinely used UV- Spectroscopic technique has been developed for estimating Lidocaine hydrochloride and Diltiazem hydrochloride in bulk and combined dosage form. The simultaneous estimation using first- order derivative analysis was 0.1 M HCl solvent, with scanning at wavelengths of 223 nm and 250 nm for quantifying lidocaine HCl and Diltiazem HCl, respectively. The concentration range for both drugs were 10-50 µg/ml. Comprehensive validation encompassed linearity, Accuracy, Precision, Loss of Detection (LOD), Loss of Quantification (LOQ), Ruggedness and Robustness assessments. The LOD values were determined to be1.32µg/ml for Lidocaine HCl and 6.18µg/ml for diltiazem HCl, while the LOQ values were found to be 4µg/ml and 18.75µg/ml, respectively. Notably, the corelation coefficient for both Lidocaine HCl and Diltiazem HCl was calculated to be 0.997. The proposed methodology was effectively applied for quantitatively determining Lidocaine HCl and Diltiazem HCl in Pharmaceutical dosage form. |
