The objective of the paper is to diagnose the initial state of the comprehensive sexuality education in the students of pedagogical majors. The dialectical-materialist method was assumed as a methodological basis. Methods from the theoretical level were used to determine the theoretical referents of the research, and from the empirical level to verify the initial state of the study variable, based on three dimensions: procedural, cognitive and behavioral. The population and the sample were made up of teachers and third-year students from the Faculty of Secondary Education at the University of Pinar del Río. It was shown that comprehensive sexuality education in students of pedagogical majors is conceived as a transversal curricular strategy during the educational process. The indicators of the cognitive dimension were more affected and the evaluation index of the variable obtained the category of low, in correspondence with the evaluation of each indicator. ; El objetivo es diagnosticar el estado inicial de la educación integral de la sexualidad en los estudiantes de carreras pedagógicas; se asumió como base metodológica el método dialéctico-materialista. Se emplearon métodos del nivel teórico en la determinación de los referentes teóricos de la investigación y del nivel empírico, para constatar el estado inicial de la variable de estudio, a partir de tres dimensiones: procedimental, cognitiva y comportamental. La muestra quedó conformada por profesores y estudiantes de tercer año de la Facultad de Educación Media de la Universidad de Pinar del Río. Se demostró que la educación integral de la sexualidad en estudiantes de carreras pedagógicas está concebida como una estrategia curricular transversal durante el proceso educativo. Resultaron más afectados los indicadores de la dimensión cognitiva y el índice de evaluación de la variable obtuvo la categoría de bajo, en correspondencia con la evaluación de cada indicador. |
