| الوصف: | As described in deliverable D1.1 "State of the Art of Cultural Property Marking," there is currently no ideal marking solution. Indeed, no existing marking product meets the various criteria of being multi-surface, non-damaging to cultural property, secure (difficult to reproduce or detect), easy for police to read, and easy for archaeologists and museum curators to implement. This is why the NOSE project proposes to develop one or more new inks to try to meet these demands.As part of task 1.2 of work package 1 “Definition of Specifications,” a report on practical marking needs (deliverable D1.2) was requested. The purpose of this report is to identify the needs of the various stakeholders in terms of marking archaeological objects. All the collected needs (opinions, recommendations, essential criteria, points of attention) will influence the detailed specifications in the requirements document for developing the ink(s).As we will see, each stakeholder has specific needs. First, archaeologists have demands related to the constraints and local conditions of excavation. Archaeologists and other heritage professionals (curators, restorers, etc.) work on marking objects (for identification and management purposes). Marking is essential for these art professionals in their daily activities for inventory operations, restoration, preventive measures, transportation, and exhibition of artifacts. Thus, it is also necessary to consult this profession, which has complementary or even additional needs compared to others. Finally, internal security forces (police, gendarmerie, customs) have specific operational needs regarding the security of archaeological objects.
