| الوصف: | Residents still have a low understanding of the proper use of medicines due to the lack of knowledge among residents about DaGuSiBu medicines (Get, Use, Store and Dispose of Medicines). DaGuSiBu drug education was needed thus residents have a better understanding. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education on the level of knowledge about DaGuSiBu in Buli Village, Maba District, East Halmahera Regency. This research method was a quasi-experimental design (Quasi-experimental design) with a one group pre and posttest design. Samples were taken by purposive sampling by using the Slovin formula which obtained a sample of 100 respondents. The research instrument uses the DaGuSiBu knowledge questionnaire which was valid and reliable. Education was carried out with the help of leaflets and counseling with presentations. The data analysis technique used the Wilcoxon signed rank test analysis. The results showed that before education the majority of respondents had sufficient knowledge about DaGuSiBu medicine (70%) and after education the majority of respondents had good knowledge (89%). The results of the bivariate analysis obtained a significance value (p value) of 0,000 <0,05, meaning that there was an influence of education on the level of knowledge about DaGuSiBu. The conclusion on this research that there was an influence of education on the level of knowledge about DaGuSiBu in Buli Village, Maba District, East Halmahera Regency. ABSTRAK Pemahaman penggunaan obat secara tepat yang masih rendah dari warga dikarenakan minimnya pengetahuan warga mengenai DaGuSiBu obat (Dapatkan, Gunakan, Simpan dan Buang obat). Edukasi DaGuSiBu obat dibutuhkan agar warga menjadi memiliki pemahaman lebih baik.
