الوصف: Food is one of the main basic needs and must be fulfilled by humans at all times. However, over time, food that has been stored for too long experiences a decrease in quality and eventually becomes food waste. It should be noted that 40% of the total waste in Indonesia is food waste (SIPSN, 2022). Based on data obtained from the databox in 2022, the City of DKI Jakarta is one of the highest producers of food waste in Indonesia, of which 2/3 comes from food loss. While food loss itself is food that is discarded before it reaches the consumer due to a decrease in quality and is still suitable for consumption. This continuous increase in the prevalence of food waste then triggers global warming that is happening in the world, where food waste contributes around 8-10% of carbon emissions. On the other hand, there is still a food crisis experienced by the number of people who tend to belong to the lower middle-class economy, which then exacerbates the problem of nutrition (stunting) in DKI Jakarta (FAO, 2021). This research examines the use of food loss to deal with food crises that occurred in Indonesia, especially in DKI Jakarta. The phenomenological method was used in this study as a solution to the problem, namely by capturing the phenomenon of increased food waste due to food loss, which was then linked to the phenomenon of nutritional problems in the form of stunting due to the food crisis that occurred in Jakarta. Thus, the main objective of this study is to propose an architectural solution. The results of this research are expected to be a solution to environmental and humanitarian problems, as well as to raise public awareness in the city of Jakarta.
