| الوصف: | Il contributo prende le mosse da una domanda di fondo, e cioè se i centri storici delle grandi e medie città meridionali, interessati da processi di recupero e di riqualificazione, possano sfuggire a un destino settoriale basato prevalentemente sull’eccellenza del patrimonio, sul turismo e sulle attività culturali o possano continuare a svolgere il ruolo di strutture urbane vitali, dotate di un mix di attività ordinarie e di funzioni, prima fra tutte, quella residenziale. L’intervento sui centri storici richiede un’ottica multidisciplinare integrata, che dalla visione complessiva dei problemi faccia discendere strategie per la conservazione e la rivitalizzazione urbana. ; The contribution starts from a basic question, namely whether the historical centres of large and medium-sized cities southern Italy, where recovery and redevelopment processes are underway, can escape a sectorial destiny, based only on the excellence of heritage, tourism and cultural activities or can continue to play the role of vital urban structures, equipped with a mix of ordinary activities and functions, first of all, the residential one. The intervention on the historical centres requires an integrated multidisciplinary perspective, able to put in place, starting from a general vision of the issues, strategies for urban preservation and revitalization. |
