الوصف: During the present PhD thesis analytical methods based on LC-MS and LC-MS/MS were developed for the determination of significant EDCs in food water and environmental samples. In the first experimental part an analytical method based on LC-ESI-MS molecularly imprinted solid phase extraction (MISPE) and microwave assisted extraction (MAE) was developed for the determination of BPA in milk, pineapple, tuna and mushrooms. The sample preparation for milk was simple and efficient comprising only dilution of milk and MISPE. The limit of detection was 0.2 ng g⁻¹. The sample preparation for pineapple, tuna and mushrooms comprised of MAE and MISPE. It was demonstrated that the combination of MAE with MISPE permits the use of a selective extraction solvent MeOH/water (4/6) simplifying the sample preparation steps. The method LODs were 0.9-1.4 ng g⁻¹. In the second part of this project a novel LC-ESI-MS method for the simultaneous determination of four of the most significant estrogenic compounds naturally occurring in beer zearalenone, α- and β-zearalenol and 8-prenylnaringenin was developed. A strategy for the development of a LC-MS method is proposed during which the effect of the polarity ionisation, and the composition of mobile phase were studied and experimental design was applied to assess the effects of the LC-ESI-MS parameters on the obtained signal. The proposed method is simple, consisting only of degassing the beer by magnetic stirring and diluting with water (1:1 v/v). The method limits of detection were 0.8 - 1.4 ng g⁻¹. In the third part a novel LC-MS/MS method for the simultaneous determination of two of the most significant booster biocides used in antifouling paints, irgarol 1051 and diuron and their degradation products, M1, 3,4-DCPMU, 3,4-DCPU and 3,4-DCA, was developed in sea water, mussel and sediment, by selected reaction monitoring.
