La presencia de conductas no éticas en la investigación científica es un problema de creciente preocupación en el medio académico. Existen diversas conductas que contravienen los principios éticos del quehacer investigativo según algunos autores como Aluja y Birke (2004) ¿Cuál es la percepción de investigadores consolidados y de investigadores en formación acerca de las conductas no éticas en el proceso de investigación? Este artículo responde a esta pregunta a partir de entrevistas realizadas a académicos miembros del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) de México y a estudiantes que cursan los últimos períodos de programas doctorales en distintas áreas disciplinares en una universidad privada del centro de la República mexicana. El marco teórico que sustenta este trabajo y sirve de enfoque para analizar la información se centra en la ética principialista que concibe el comportamiento ético desde el cumplimiento de ciertos principios fundamentales aplicables a toda actividad profesional (Hortal, 2002) Abstract The presence of unethical behavior in scientific research is a problem of growing concern in the academic world. There are several behaviors that contravene the ethical principles of research as stated by some authors such as Aluja and Birke (2004). What are the perceptions of consolidated researchers and research trainees about unethical conduct in the research process? This article answers this question from interviews with academic members of the National Researchers System (SNI) of Mexico and students attending the last academic periods of doctoral programs in various subject areas at a private university in the center of Mexico. The theoretical framework underpinning this work and serves as an approach to analyze the information focuses on principialist ethics that conceive ethical behavior from the compliance of certain fundamental principles applicable to all professional activity (Hortal, 2002). |
