| الوصف: | Having begun to gain importance since the foundationof civilizations, cities have continually been in a state of change andtransformation. On the other hand, the modern phenomenon of urbanizationoriginated after the Industrial Revolution. With the industrializationmovements, cities are areas where the plus value is produced. Furthermore, theneed for the labor force for production initiated the migration to cities andthe proletariat culture in cities brought about the class consciousness. Theclass analyses on the European cities by Marx and Engels later laid thegroundwork for the critical urban theories. In the 1920s, the city was firstaddressed as a research object by the Chicago School and the spatialorganization of the city was examined. After the 1970s, radical theoreticiansexamined the city via the capital accumulation process and dealt with thespatialization of capital and the social movements. So, the criticalperspective on the present cities, which entered the rule of the capitalistaccumulation processes, offered a structural analysis for the urbanization ofneoliberalism. In this context, the study aims to discuss the contributions tobe made by the economic and political perspectives to understand the presentcities and to offer a new form of reading for the urbanization of neoliberalismby providing a background on the classical urban theories. Uygarlıkların kuruluşundan itibaren önem kazanmayabaşlayan kentler sürekli bir değişim ve dönüşüm halinde olmuştur. Modernkentleşme olgusu ise Sanayi Devrimi sonrası ortaya çıkmıştır. Sanayileşmehareketleri ile birlikte kentler artı değerin üretildiği alanlar olmuştur.Bununla birlikte üretim için emek gücüne duyulan ihtiyaç kentlere göçübaşlatmış ve kentlerdeki proletarya kültürü sınıf bilincini beraberindegetirmiştir. Marx ve Engels’in Avrupa kentleri üzerine yaptığı sınıf çözümlemeleriilerleyen zamanlarda eleştirel kent kuramlarına zemin hazırlamıştır. 1920’lerdeise Chicago Ekolü tarafından kent ilk kez bir araştırma nesnesi olarak elealınmış ve kentin mekânsal örgütlenmesi incelenmiştir. 1970’lerden sonra iseradikal kuramcılar kenti sermaye birikim süreci üzerinden inceleyereksermayenin mekânsallaşmasını ve toplumsal hareketleri ele almışlardır. Böylecekapitalist birikim süreçlerinin hakimiyeti altına giren günümüz kentlerineyönelik eleştirel perspektif neoliberalizmin kentleşmesine yapısal birçözümleme sunmuştur. Bu bağlamdaçalışma, klasik kent teorileri hakkında bir arka plan vererek günümüzkentlerini anlamada ekonomik ve politik perspektiflerin sağlayacağı katkılarıtartışmayı ve neoliberalizmin kentleşmesine yeni okuma biçimi sunmayıamaçlamaktadır. |
