| الوصف: | Objective: The aim of this study wasto investigate the thoughts of nursing students about sexual myths who continuetheir education in a public university in Southeast Anatolia region. Materialand Methods: The universe of study consisted of nursing students attending a publicuniversity in the Southeast Anatolian region. In this study, it is aimed toreach the entire universe by not choosing the sample. It is composed of 220students who agreed to participate in the study between 2015-2016. Fordescriptive statistics, chi-square test was used to determine frequency,percentage and difference between groups. The written permissions from theinstitution to be studied were taken from the students.Results: 25% of the students think that a woman expressing her sexual desire isof a light behavior; 84.5% say that care shall be taken to prevent breakage ofthe virginal membrane before marriage. 20.0% say that if there is no bleedingduring the first sexual intercourse the woman is not a virgin; 24.5% say that aman is as strong as frequently he has intercourse; 10.5% say that a woman, whoinitiate the intercourse are corrupt. When comparing the students’ gender tothe rate of belief in sexual myths, males were found to believe in sexual mythswith a higher rate and it was found to be meaningful in terms of statistics(p Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, Güneydoğu Anadolu bölgesindekibir devlet üniversitesinde eğitimlerine devam eden hemşirelik bölümüöğrencilerinin cinsel mitler hakkindaki düşüncelerini araştırmaktır.Materyal ve Metot: Çalışma evreni, Güneydoğu Anadolu bölgesindeki birdevlet üniversitesine devam eden hemşirelik öğrencilerinden oluşmaktadır.Çalışmada örneklem seçimine gidilmeyerektüm evrene ulaşılması hedeflenmiştir. 2015-2016 yılları arasında çalışmayakatılmayı kabul eden 220 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Tanımlayıcı istatistikleriçin, gruplar arasındaki sıklık, yüzde ve farkı belirlemek için ki-kare testikullanıldı. Çalışma yapılacak kurumdan yazılı izinler, öğrencilerden yazılı vesözlü alındı.Bulgular: Öğrencilerin%25’icinsel ilişki arzusunu belli eden kadın hafiftir; %84.5’i evlenmeden öncekızlık zarının bozulmaması için tedbirli olunması gerektiğini, %20.0’ı ilkcinsel ilişkide kan gelmezse kadının bakire olmadığını; %24.5’i erkek ne kadarsık ve üst üste sevişirse o kadar güçlü olduğunu; %10.5’i sevişmeyi başlatankadına ahlaksız dedikleri saptandı.
