الوصف: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, defines 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (1). There is a close link between SDGs and another concept championed by the United Nations: WHO – Social Determinants of Health (SDH) (2), incorporated into the WHO Health 2020 policy framework (3) (Table 1). The synergy and obvious similarity between the aims stated in both documents guided the WHO decision to introduce the SDGs into their future strat- egies. The European Commission created the Proposal for a New European Consensus on Development – Our World, our Dignity, our Future (4,5), setting new agenda in the light of global challenges and the AGENDA 2030 by the United Na- tions.
