| الوصف: | Sin base histórica alguna, desde hace siglos la mayoría de los comentaristas de la Commedìa sostiene que el anónimo personaje aludido en Inferno III, 59-60 debería ser el dimisionario Papa Celestino V. Por primera vez llevo a cabo un análisis filológico del texto y – respetando las palabras de Dante – llego a la conclusión que no se trata del pontífice. Acojo, en cambio, la idea de que podría ser Poncio Pilato. For centuries, the majority of La Commedia commenters have supported, without any historical basis, that the anonymous character from Inferno III, 59-60 must had been the resigned Pope Celestine V. For the first time I carry out a philological analysis of the work and -respecting Dante's words- arrive to the conclusion that is not that pontiff. I accept, instead, the idea that it could be Pontius Pilate. Sem qualquer base histórica, durante séculos a maioria dos comentaristas da Commedia mantém que a personagem anônima mencionada no Inferno III, 59-60 deveria ser a renunciado Papa Celestino V. Pela primeira vez, levo a cabo uma análise filológica do texto e - respeitando as palavras de Dante - concluo que não se trata do Sumo Pontifice. Sustento, no entanto, a ideia de que poderia ser Pôncio Pilatos. |
