| الوصف: | Biographical activities of the Shevchenko Scientific Society of Canada are presented, main directions and forms are researched, one has highlighted that the Society became one of the uniting centers of biographistics of Ukrainians aboard, where biographical information about prominent Ukrainian scientists, writers, public and political fi gures was collected and analyzed without ideological approaches. It is noted that researching of the biographical data was conducted in the context of the modern Ukrainian science, researching a single person as a witness of historical events and explication of the modern scientific approaches, which researches a person in its interaction with the surrounding world. The contributions of the Society in personal research of Ukrainians abroad and integration of the prominent Ukrainians into Canadian culture are identified |
