الوصف: In this work we carried out numerical simulations of coupled fluid flow and geomechanics aimed at understanding the effect of deep fracture zone opening during CO2 geological sequestration. Here we present a more detailed analysis of the modeled ground uplift at the three different injection wells of the In Salah CO2 demonstration project. The numerical modeling accounts for stress-dependent permeability within the reservoir unit and deep fracture zone activation governed by a Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion. Mechanical and hydraulic properties were determined through inverse modeling by matching the simulation results with the observed variation.
