الوصف: After reviewing the state of the art of the preparation and the properties of MnBi thin films, we report on the first successful epitaxial growth of MnBi single crystalline films with very high magnetic energy products and coercivity fields up to 20 kOe. The best films have been grown by molecular beam epitaxy on buffered BaF2 substrates. The epitaxy on GaAs substrates will also be discussed.
