الوصف: | In this paper, the design of a compact microstrip antenna is proposed for wide bandwidth applications ranging from 2.4 GHz to 3.6 GHz. Defected Ground Structure (DGS) antenna design optimizes the structure and enhances the bandwidth and the return loss performance. Since communication systems prefer small sized broad band and multiband antennas- probe feed monopole is used to fabricate broad-band as well as wide-band antennas. Thorough investigations are carried out in the proposed work to design a new antenna for broad-band properties. Simulation based analysis is performed using Ansoft HFSS electromagnetic simulator software - fabricated on FR-4 Substrate and testing is performed using Vector network Analyzer. The simulation and measurement metrics proved that the proposed antenna is applicable in 2.49 GHz to 3.6 GHz frequency range with a return loss of 19.97dB and 19.05dB. |
