In a previously preregistered study (Exp A; data collection still underway at the time of the submission of this preregistration), we aim at testing whether, and if so, how, surrounding sensory evidence may influence central visual confidence. In this preregistration (Exp B), we are going to conduct a similar study under the same research question, but with the goal of testing whether (and if so, how) the stability of decision criteria may influence the effects of surrounding sensory evidence on central visual confidence. Exp B will be largely identical to those in Exp A (https://osf.io/9ukqb/), except for the details described in this preregistration. |
