| الوصف: | Background: Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) is a chronic, immune-mediated disease characterized by the destruction of insulin-producing β cells in the pancreas. This study investigated the influence of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) –308 G/A (rs1800629,) on T1DM patients. Method: The study was included 75 T1DM patients and 25 healthy subjects. The SNP–308 G/A TNF-α gene was detected by using polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP-PCR) technique in T1DM patients and controls.
