One of the basic ways for improving an impaired motor function consists in application of a complex of rehabilitation measures with use of prosthetic-orthopaedic products. The orthotic systems designed and manufactured at the Institute for correction of joint contractures and pathological positions of the hand and forearm made it possible to increase the volume of movements of the upper extremity, to improve bioelectric functions of muscles, to expand functional abilities of the upper extremities in children with spastic pareses and thereby to improve their self-service.
