| الوصف: | The aim of the investigation is the obtaining of disease-resistant forms of tobacco. Three in vitro methods have been used: somaclonal variation, gametoclonal variation and genes transfer of resistance form wild tobacco species. As source material we used the following wild species: Nicotiana goodspeedii, N. alata, N. sanderac, N. africana, N. paniculala and cultivars Burley 21, Harmanliiska basma 163, Vrania 96 and Krumovgrad 58. More than 30 000 regenerants were obtained from anthers and stem explants tissue cultures. Some of them were resistant to economically important diseases as Lycopersicum virus 3, Peronospora labacina, Thielavia basicola, TMV, Erysiphe cichoraccarum. The disease resistance was inherited in R1 and R2 progenies. Cytoplasmic male sterile tobacco forms have also been obtained. |
