الوصف: The optical properties of equiatomic AgZn alloys in two structural states: β′ and ξ phase, are investigated experimentally in the spectral range 0.07 to 10 eV. Calculations are made of the band spectrum and the optical properties of β′-AgZn. The structural transformation β′ ξ leads to the emergence of a new absorption band in the optical spectrum and is accompanied by a change in colouring. A comparison of the theoretical and experimental optical spectra of β′-AgZn shows sufficiently good agreement in the range 0.07 to 4 eV. The results obtained are used to explain the origin of absorption bands. [Russian Text Ignored.]
