| الوصف: | Dietary therapy in states of inflammatory rheumatic diseases is recommended by nutrition societies, and should not be withhold from the patient, because of the high cardiovascular risk they are bearing. Additionally, nutritional comorbidities, as are intolerance of or sensitivity for nutrients or an imbalanced or deficient diet, are aggravated by physical impairment. Shopping and cooking is rendered difficult with swollen or tender joints of arms or legs, arthritis of mandibular joints impede the masticating apparatus. Rheumatologic comorbidities with nutritional relevance include Sicca symptoms, gastro-oesophageal reflux or esophageal motility disorders. Our seminars in rheumatology showed us that an insufficient transfer of information between the therapists limits the patient’s outcome. Members of the therapeutic team are a rheumatologist and a nutritionist, a dietician, supported by physical and functional therapists and psychologists. The communication between them is best realized in medical centers for outpatients. |
