| الوصف: | This article shows the findings of an ethnography carried out in the town of San Andrés de Pica within the province of Tamarugal, in the first region of Tarapacá, Chile. The objective was to analyze the practices of mobility and transfer of borders in newly settled migrants to the rural town of Pica, a scale that has not been addressed in the literature. The data were obtained through interviews and participant observation during a prolonged stay in the town that inquired about the reconstitution of the moments of migration: before, during and after the trip. During the course, the interviewees acquire a space capital, a “know how to migrate”, related to the mobility that constitutes a shared, learned and practiced heritage among them. This knowledge is part of the cross-cultural itineraries understood as the transit and interaction between social spheres and diverse spaces which include strategies and practices of identity renegotiation for the crossing of borders, territorial, cultural, social and symbolic. Este artículo muestra los hallazgos de una etnografía realizada en el pueblo de San Andrés de Pica al interior de la provincia del Tamarugal, en la primera región de Tarapacá, Chile. El objetivo fue analizar las prácticas de movilidad y traspaso de fronteras en los migrantes recién asentados al pueblo rural de Pica, escala poco abordada en la literatura. Los datos fueron obtenidos mediante entrevistas y observación participante durante una estadía prolongada en el pueblo que indagó por la reconstitución de los momentos de la migración: antes, durante y después del viaje. En el transcurso los y las entrevistadas adquieren un capital espacial, un “saber migrar”, relacionado con la movilidad que se constituye en un acervo compartido, aprendido y practicado entre ellos. Este saber forma habituaparte de los itinerarios transculturales entendidos como el transito e interacción entre esferas sociales y espacios diversos las que incluyen estrategias y prácticas de renegociación identitarias para el cruce de fronteras, territoriales, culturales, sociales y simbólicas. |
