مستخلص: The article discusses the development of a new type of mulberry plant which can survive the cold in India's West Bengal region. It states that silk farmers there can only produce between September to March, and are hampered in the quantity they can produce because of the cold, which the mulberry plant cannot tolerate. To address this, the Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute (CSRTI) developed a new cold-resistant mulberry variety designated C2036, by cross breeding Morus indica with Chinese F1. A description of this plant is presented.
