The article discusses global hunger and presents ways how to address it. The causes of growing level of global hunger are man-made, according to the author. He cites free trade policies championed by the World Trade Organization and the ambivalence of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to provide real solution to the crises. The author stresses the need for the FAO to get rid of the distraction of genetically modified crops. He highlights the role of the FAO in supporting national and sovereign governments in India and the developing world. |
