The dimerization of complex (1), [Fe(TIM)(HO)] (TIM = 2,3,9,10-tetramethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetra-deca-1,3,8,10-tetraene) in aerated aqueous solution results in formation of the binuclear complex (2), [(HO)(TIM)-Fe-O-O-Fe(TIM))(HO)].
