مستخلص: The article reports that ischemic increase in neuronal gap junction coupling is regulated by glutamate through group II metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs), using electrotonic coupling, Western blots, and siRNA in the mouse somatosensory cortex. It shows that group II mGluRs activation increases background neuronal gap junction coupling levels and neuronal gap junction protein connexin 36 (Cx36) expression.
