This article provides a brief description of the role of virtual modeling in the educational system as a didactic tool and virtual laboratory complexes. Also in the field of transport engineering education, research has been carried out to improve the methodological support of virtual modeling of laboratory training in the subject "structure and theory of vehicles" to students of the undergraduate educational direction. In this case, the determination of the number of transmission transmissions of the car as a result of virtual modeling; laboratory work such as determining the resistance of air to the car and its center of Sail; determining the car's permeability from obstacles; determining the angle at which the leading wheels can reach heights; determining the stability of the car in the transverse plane was carried out, and based on this, the methodology of this laboratory work was improved.
