Summary: Seven new species of Hyperplatys Haldeman, 1847 are described: H. bolivarin. sp., H. carinatusn. sp., H. c-fasciatumn. sp., H. nigromaculatusn. sp., and H. y-maculatumn. sp., all from Bolivia; H. zaragozain. sp., from Mexico (Veracruz); H. auriantusn. sp., from Brazil (Mato Grosso do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Rio Grande do Sul), Argentina and Paraguay.
