مستخلص: Biomass is a renewable alternative energy source that can be renewed. Biomass originated from plants. Biomass can be processed into bio-oil. The making of bio-oil can be done by thermal catalytic cracking using an electromagnetic reactor. This research aims to determine the bio-oil characteristics of the thermal catalytic cracking process of cassava stem powder in an electromagnetic reactor. Variables that varied were the length of the residence time of the reactor that are 60, 90, 120, and 150 minutes and solvent concentrations that are 55, 65, 75, and 85%. The research was conducted using a fixed, variable that is 20 ml of glucose volume and temperature of 200°C. The highest yield of bio-oil will be tested by the Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
