| Abstract (English): |
This study aims to identify the most important applications of cloud computing in records management. The study followed the documentary approach to identify the benefits and challenges of applying cloud computing in document management, and used the survey method and questionnaire as a tool for data collection. In addition to a focus group for a number of participants who are records managers in Omani institutions. One of the results of the study is that the majority of records mangers prefer that organizations provide cloud computing services for themselves, and that the most common cloud applications used by them are e-mail, Microsoft Office, and Google Apps. The majority of records mangers emphasize their need for training programs to upgrade their skills in electronic archiving, cloud computing and modern techniques in records management. The study recommends that the cloud solutions comply with the requirements of records management and preservation in accordance with the Omani legislation to protect data and documents, and support the records departments in the institutions financially and technically to implement successful practices of records management systems in the cloud. هدفت الدراسة لرصد أهم تطبيقات الحوسبة السحابية في إدارة الوثائق والتعرف على آراء اختصاصيي الوثائق فيما يتعلق بتطبيقات الحوسبة السحابية في إدارة الوثائق في المؤسسات العمانية. اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوثائقي للتعرف على فوائد وتحديات تطبيق الحوسبة السحابية في إدارة وحفظ وإتاحة الوصول للوثائق، واستخدمت المنهج المسحي والاستبانة أداة لجمع البيانات، بالإضافة إلى مجموعة تركيز لعدد من المشاركين من اختصاصيي الوثائق في المؤسسات العمانية. من نتائج الدراسة أن غالبية اختصاصيي الوثائق يفضلون أن تقوم المؤسسات بتوفير خدمات حوسبة سحابية لنفسها، وأن أكثر التطبيقات السحابية العامة استخداما البريد الإلكتروني ومايكروسوفت أوفيس وتطبيقات جوجل، واحتياج اختصاصيي الوثائق لبرامج تدريبية للارتقاء بمهاراتهم في الأرشفة الإلكترونية والحوسبة السحابية والتقنيات الحديثة. وخلصت الدراسة إلى عدة توصيات منها أن تمتثل الحلول السحابية لمتطلبات إدارة الوثائق وحفظها وفقا للتشريع العماني لحماية البيانات والوثائق، ودعم دوائر الوثائق ماديا وفنيا لتنفيذ تجارب ناجحة من أنظمة إدارة الوثائق في السحابة.
