مستخلص: |
This is a short article on the family history of Ku Hua-jung, an old lady from Hsi-wu Village in Li-ch'eng hsien, Shansi Province. "Home" and "history" are the two indispensable elements of a family history. Hua-lung was very happy when mother told her she was going to visit her auntie. She jumped out of her bed and began to put on her clothes, then she ran over to her third elder sister. Although she lived in four other homes at different times, she had no home she could really consider her own. How anyone could be called upon to write a family history for her is a difficult problem. However, the stories she had of how she fled for her life from her parental home, how she suffered scoldings and beatings in the homes of others, and how she suffered extreme hardships in those "non-family famles" can be regarded as her "family history." |
