The authors consider a point‐to‐point optical wireless communication link with on–off keying (OOK) modulation scheme. The propagation is deteriorated by the joint effects of gamma–gamma atmospheric turbulence and misalignment induced fading described by a non‐zero boresight pointing error model. Mathematical expressions are derived for the average block error rate and their accuracy is verified through numerical simulations with Monte Carlo method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
