| Abstract (English): |
This paper reviews the bulk of research and development of architectural technologies of industrialization, prefabrication, automation, and informatization and related housing policies in post-war Japan, aimed to improve housing quality and production efficiency. It also delineates the directional impact of the theory of open building on Japanese housing industry, concluding with the determined goal of advancing artificial intelligence and robotic engineering to further improve production efficiency in Japan in lack of skilled labors.
