Citrus blackfly, Aleurocanthus woglumi Ashby (Aleyrodidae : Homoptera) is considered as important pest on acid lime in Vijayapur district of Karnataka between April to September months. A field study was carried out during kharif, 2015-16 and 2016-17 at Honnalli village of Vijayapur district, Karnataka to select the effective insecticides for the management of citrus blackfly, A. woglumi in acid lime. Pooled data of two years of experimentation revealed that at 10 days after first spray, plot treated with flonicamid 50% SG @ 0.25 ml/l was found to be superior in both the years and in pooled data (3.72 blackflies/ leaf) and was on par with thiamethoxam 25 WG @ 0.25 g/l (5.29 blackflies/leaf), acetamiprid 20 SP @ 0.25 g/l (6.11 blackflies/ leaf), imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.30 ml/l (6.31). Similar trend of efficacy was noticed in subsequent two sprays. Significantly higher marketable yield and net profit was realized in flonicamid 50% SG @ 0.25 ml/l in both the years (2015-16 & 2016-17) and pooled data (240.05 q/ha & Rs. 468485/ha) and was on par with thiamethoxam 25 WG @ 0.25 g/l (237.05 q/ha & Rs. 467810/ha), acetamiprid 20 SP @ 0.25 g/l (232.40 q/ha & Rs. 459155), imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.30 ml/l (233.90 q/ha & Rs. 459155/ha) and triazophos 40 EC @ 2.00 ml/l (233.55 q/ha & Rs. 449210/ha).
