مستخلص: |
This paper analyzes the interaction between a large doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) offshore wind farm (OWF) and the voltage source converter (VSC) of a high voltage dc (HVDC) link. The VSC-HVDC link applies modular multilevel VSC technology. The influences of DFIGOWF and offshore cable system on the VSC-HVDC link are presented. EMTP-RV is applied for performing electromagnetic transient simulations. Simulation results indicate stable and robust operation of Senvion DFIG wind turbines with VSC-HVDC grid connection. Also, suggestions are given for optimal operation of the VSC-HVDC link. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
